     The main goal of Cuban food is to strive to provide recipes including the foods that are enjoyed by the average family.
     Most people consider Cuban food to be spicy, and much like Mexican food. However, Cuban food has a fusion of Spanish, African, and Caribbean influences.
    
     Typical Cuban foods include black beans, white and yellow rice, citrus marinades, garlic, and fried sliced bananas. Cumin, cayenne, and cilantro are typical for adding spices. Limes are the most popular finishing touch.
     Cuban food typically does not have any dairy products in them. Dairy is very expensive and very hard to store. Pork and chicken on the other hand are always fresh and inexpensive.
     For convince Cuban’s use canned food, such as canned beans and canned tomatoes. They always prefer fresh fruits and vegetables. However, they do use dried/dehydrated spices and dried fruits. Cuban foods are often hard to make outside of Cuba, due to the authentic ingredients.
 
Breakfast

Lunch
Is very simple and no cooking involved. A Cuban sandwich is the typical lunch menu. The sandwiches are loaded with pork, ham, cheese, pickles, mustard, mayonnaise, and of coarse bread.
Dinner
Consist of stocky meats, chicken, or fish. White rice and black beans are a typical side dish.
Dessert
Cuban coffee, Café con leche, or ice cream with a Spanish rolled cookie.
Alcohol
Many Cubans prefer do drink rum. During the pre-Castro years rum was a flourishing industry. Bacardi Rum was the most popular rum. Nowadays Bacardi is limited in Cuba.
